Full Description
A complex of cropmark enclosures is visible in a field to the west of the Car Dyke on an aerial photograph. The enclosures may represent Romano-British settlement and/or field systems. It is likely that they extend beyond what is shown on the aerial photograph (and on Mapinfo) and may be related to similar enclosures on the east side of the Car Dyke (PRN 60021). {1}
Romano-British pottery (PRNs 64546 and 64547) has been found near these cropmarks but outside their known extent, and this also indicates Romano-British activity in the area. {2}
