Full Description

Late 18th century footbridge across a ha-ha before Boughton House. The bridge is constructed of cast iron made by Howden of Boston. The bridge has an arched base with pierced circles and lozenges, and grated steps ramping up to the centre. The bridge sides have lyre shaped pierced iron balusters with spoked circles at the bases. The ramped handrails are wreathed at the ends and are supported on tapering balusters of a turned pattern.
