PRN 64452
Early 18th century limestone ashlar house, refronted in the late 18th century and altered in the 19th century. The house retains a few original internal features (3 doors and a staircase). This building apparently incorporates some stone re-used from the earlier Howell Hall (PRN 60264), which stood to the south. {2}
The hall is recorded on the first and second edition Ordnance Survey maps. {3}{4}
Howell Hall, Asgarby and Howell. Partially extant 18th century farmstead. Regular courtyard with L-plan range plus detached buildings to the third side of the yard. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. There has been a partial loss (less than 50%) of traditional buildings. Located within a Church and/or Manor farm group. Large modern sheds are located on the site. {5}
