Full Description
PRN 36804
During fieldwalking, a surface scatter of material including briquetage was recorded. The briquetage indicates a salt making site of either Roman and/or Iron Age date, although the sparsity of pottery in the scatter prevents a definate date being assigned. Also present in the artefact scatter were animal bones, a single piece of green vitrified material and a piece of possible coal. {1}
