Full Description
PRN 34546
During fieldwalking, a relatively large Romano-British artefact scatter was discovered along with an unidentified and undated soilmark. The scatter consists of pottery (including Samian and mortaria), tile and other ceramic building materials, quern fragments, bone and oyster shell. This suggests the presence of a building (which may itself be part of a farmstead or settlement?), possibly even one of relatively high status given the presence of Samian in the pottery assemblage. {1}
