Full Description
Three fragments of Roman tile were recovered in February 2005, during trial trenching on land behind the Council Houses, Greatford. The fragments were found within a pit which contained a quantity of 5th to 6th century Saxon pottery and animal bone. Although redeposited, the tile fragments suggest the presence of former Roman buildings in this locality. {1}{2}
