PRN 64307 Timber framed house built c. 1500 with alterations c. 1620, mid 18th century, early 19th century and 20th century. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {1} This house is also known as Kirkby la Thorpe Hall. It probably retains late 15th/early 16th century traces. There is a 17th century stone wing and an early 19th century brick addition. {3} The Grange, Kirkby La Thorpe. Partially extant Medieval farmstead. Loose courtyard with four sides of the courtyard formed by working agricultural buildings. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. There has been significant loss (greater than 50%) of traditional buildings. Isolated location. Large modern sheds are located on the site. {4}
