PRN 64204 War memorial. 1921. Erected by the parishioners of North Rauceby and paid for by public subscription. Limestone. Late medieval style village cross stands on double octagonal steps and chamfered plinth. Octagonal base has blind tracery to each face and inscription with the names of those who died in the Great War. Moulded base to cross, tall octagonal shaft and plain capital. Upper cross has carved decorative detailing. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {1} An eleven foot (three metres) high tapered shaft surmounted by a Latin cross, North Rauceby war memorial stands in the churchyard of St Peter's Church. The memorial sits on a two-stepped octagonal base and a pedestal. A laurel wreath is carved in relief on the front face and the names of the fallen of the First World War are engraved on niches set in the base. The memorial was unveiled in 1919. This memorial includes the fallen from South Rauceby. {2}
