PRN 70500
A watching brief carried out at the former Blenkin Hall site uncovered several pits containing material dating to the 3rd-4th centuries AD and earlier. The finds from the pits include pottery, ceramic building materials and window glass. It is thought that the pits represent Roman rubbish pits related to settlement along Ermine Street. {1}{2}
