Full Description

Road bridge built in 1806 to 1808 by John Rennie and largely rebuilt in 1913 by John Webster. It is constructed of cast iron and ashlar, with decorative openwork parapet (part of the later rebuild). Of the original bridge, only the stone bases with plain paired pilasters remain. The site of the bridge is slightly to the south of the site of 18th century and earlier bridges.
