Wesleyan Reform Chapel depicted on the 1905 OS Second Edition map.{1}
The chapel is brick-built with limestone ashlar blocks and a slate roof. The chapel has nine ashlar inscribed stone blocks, one of which is a date stone immediately above the south-facing doorway. The date stone is inscribed with 'Ebenezer Wesleyan Reform Chapel, 1859 - 1930'.{2}
The site was visited in 2009. The chapel at this grid reference is the Wesleyan Reform chapel built in 1930 which is indicated on the OS 1:10000 Map. The site marked as the chapel on the OS County Series Map appears to be a little to the west where a building, which may be the earlier chapel of 1859, stands (PRN 65618). The red brick gabled front has a gabled porch with a flat-headed doorway with double doors and an ashlar lintel, with an ashlar date stone in the porch gable and a finial at the apex of the porch and main gable. The eaves cornices and gable verges have dentil brickwork. There are small circular windows in both gables. The side elevations are of three + one bays of flat-headed windows with lintels of ashlar blocks. The window frames have been replaced with plastic. The rear part of the building probably represents the Sunday School which had 52 scholars when it was built. The railings survive. There is a later flat-roofed annexe attached to the west with the same decorative treatment.{3}{4}{5}
