Full Description

PRN 63573 Ridge and furrow was seen as cropmarks on aerial photographs. {1} Geophysical survey and trial trenching were carried out over the full extent of the site prior to quarrying. Several probably related and contemporary medieval features were recorded including enclosures, ditches, a trackway and possible wattle and daub timber structures. Medieval pottery and fired clay were also recovered, as well as animal bone. {2}{3}{4}
