A magnetometry scanning survey was undertaken on approximately 66ha of land near Whisby. The surevy used a Geoscan FM36 fluxgate gradiometer set to 'scanning' mode. Scanning found the general background level of magnetic response to be uniformly very quiet, although a small number of anomalies and zones of fluctuating response were marked as targets for subsequent detailed survey. Overall, a small number of responses were recorded which may be of archaeological potential, but this is tentative.
