The Wesleyan Methodist Chapel on Newark Road is first depicted on the Ordnance Survey Map of 1905. {1}
The building was erected in 1887 as a place of nonconformist worship and practice. It appears to have become redundant at sometime in the late 1970s. {2}
The building has been converted for commercial use. The street frontage was altered (enlarged) somtime in the 1970/80s. The building is now a commercial shop (motor vehicle parts). {3}
