Full Description
The building is first depicted as a Congregational Church on the Ordnance Survey map of 1905 (1932 Revision). The building depicted on the 1905 map is approximately twice the size of the present building. The building appears to have been part demolished some time in the recent past. {1}
The Congregational Church is depicted on the Ordnance Survey 1:1250 map of 1966. It would appear that the building was part demolished some time after this date. {2}
The South Bar Congregational Church was built in 1905 and served as place of worship until at least the early 1990s. After 1991, the church became redundant. The building now forms a warehouse as part of a large garage and automobile sales complex. {3}
