Full Description
PRN 23942
Trial trenching recorded a linear gully like feature. This gully contained pottery sherds, Bourne D ware, charcoal and marine shells. A bone stylus or parchment pricker was also recovered, a pin like object with a pehrical head surmounted on a collar and a short tapering shank, possibly tipped with a bronze point. Environmental sampling suggests that the area may have been susecptible to flooding, however due to a limited amount of evidence this conclusion is tentative. {1}{2}
