Full Description

PRN 63502 Archaeological evaluation (trenching) was undertaken during the excavation of a new soke dyke on land at Branston Island, Branston and Mere. The evaluation recovered a number of co-joining sherds of Beaker period pottery, and can be broadly dated to the late 3rd to early 2nd Millennia (late Neolithic to early Bronze Age). This pottery is likely to have reached the ground surface among the spoil upcast from the evaluation trench. {1}{2}
