Full Description
A single unstratified human femur was recovered from a modern soil deposit in this location in May 2004, during archaeological monitoring of new development. The femur was recovered close to the route of the Ermine Street Roman road, possibly suggesting an association and indicating the presence of other disturbed burials on or near the site. No clearly associated material was recovered, however, and the femur remains undated. {1}{2}
