Full Description
Earthworks of a probable former Second World War searchlight battery, to the south of Louth. Visible as a group of six circular, embanked enclsoures, raning in size from 24m to 10m in diameter. Identified on aerial photography examined as part of the National Mapping Programme. {1}
The area has since come under arable cultivation, and no trace of the earthworks can now be seen on the Google Maps satellite imagery layer or on LiDAR data for this area. {2}{3}
