Site of a former school. Seen on the 1887 and 1905 OS maps of Wellingore in a single range with a porch to the south. {1}{2} White's 1856 Trade Directory states that a school in the village was erected in around 1851, supported by subscription and government grant. In 1856 that school was attended by 80 pupils. {3} The school was closed in 1982 and demolished soon after. {4}
