Full Description
Clint Farmhouse was built c.1670, of coursed limestone rubble and ashlar. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {1}
When listed in August 1967, Clint Farmhouse was described as a ruinous farmhouse dating to about 1670. It was originally L-shaped in plan, and of two storeys with pantiled roofs. Various pieces of walling were said to survive with two 3-light recessed and chamfered mullion windows with hood moulds.
In November 1964, the house had been condemned by North Kesteven District Council as unfit for human habitation and an order was made for its demolition. This was drawn to the attention of the Ministry of Housing and Local Government in September 1967, who responded with a decision to remove the building from the statutory list in October of the same year. The house was subsequently demolished and a new house built on the same footprint in the 1990s. {2}
