Full Description

PRN 23910 Archaeological evaluation (trial trenching) along the proposed route of the A1073 relief road between Eye (near Peterborough) and Spalding. The evaluation identified a poorly defined curvilinear feature. Although in plan this feature resembled a arc 11m long of an Iron Age roundhouse, it was the excavator's opinion, shared by the author, that this probably represented a silt-filled natural channel {1} {2} During excavations centered on TF 2667 1512 an undated ditch was recorded. {4}{5}
