Full Description

PRN 23900 Archaeological evaluation (trial trenching) along the proposed route of the A1073 relief road between Eye (near Peterborough) and Spalding. The evaluation identified three undated ditches, including a curvilinear ditch with a sharp V-shaped profile and a narrow flat base. Although the ditch contained no datable finds, earliest fill contained uncharred twigs and berries. The other two ditches were broad and shallow and contained no finds {1} {2}.
