Full Description

PRN 63115 An archaeological evaluation was undertaken in advance of residential development at Church Farm, Church Lane, Potterhanworth. The trial trenches identified a number of features (six pits, five post-holes and a single ditch) dating to the Anglo-Saxon period, located towards the extreme southwestern part of the development site. One of the pits produced a sherd of Northern Maxey-type pottery, dating to the late 7th to 8th century. {1}{2}
