Full Description
Two undated features were revelaed in this location in September 2003, during archaeological monitoring within the walled garden of Caythorpe Hall. The features comprised a pit and a ditch, sealed beneath an buried subsoil layer. Although no finds were recovered, the features were believed to pre-date the construction of the overlying mid 19th century walled garden. {1}{2}
