Full Description

PRN 62874 The war memorial on Lincoln Road/High Street/Newark Road was erected as a monument to all that fell in the First World War. {1} Bassingham war memorial was dedicated in 1920 and is located on Stocks Green on the junction between the High Street, Newark Road and Lincoln Road. Built by Jesse Boulton of Lincoln, it is an obelisk constructed with red Aberdeen granite. It stands 12 feet 10 inches (four metres) high. The memorial is dedicated to those who fought in the First World War and the Second World War. {2}
