PRN 36489
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during development at Thorold's Charity Primary School, Marston. The watching brief monitored the excavation of foundation trenches for new classroom extensions to an existing, Grade II Listed Building (Ref 300.006). The investigation identified a number of post medieval features; a large rectangular pit filled with a greyish brown silty sand and containing pottery, glass and a clay pipe stem dating to the 18th century and a brick lined well found during the initial topsoil stripping phase of the watching brief {1} {2}
