Full Description
PRN 23838
Archaeological evaluation (trial trenching) on land at Woolram Wygate, Spalding identified a series parallel, east to west aligned post-medieval boundary or field ditches. It would appear that the ditches are associated with another post medieval ditch towards the south of the site (PRN 23841), and form the continuance, and reworking of an earlier medieval strip field system (PRN 23836 and PRN 23837). {1} {2}
Excavations at the east end of this site revealed a ditch and curvilinear plough marks of post-medieval date. {3}{4}
