Full Description

PRN 23836 Archaeological evaluation (trial trenching) on land at Woolram Wygate, Spalding identified an east to west aligned medieval boundary ditch. It would appear that the ditch was initially cut during the 12th century, with a subsequent re-cut in the late 14th to 15th century. The ditch may form part of a system of strip fields, known as dylings, in association with other ditches in the area (PRN 23837). {1} {2}
