Archaeological evaluation (trial trenching) identified a number of linear ditches. The ditches have a uniform alignment and nature, and appear to form the continuance of field systems recorded in previous excavations (Areas B and C). In total, twelve linears were excavated; six northwest to southeast and six northeast to southwest. Only one of the ditches produced dating evidence, in the form of late Romano-British Nene Valley Colour Coated Ware bowl {1} {2}
