Protected Status/Designation

  • None recorded

Full Description

PRN 44806 Geophysical survey conducted between the 21st and 28th May 2003, identified a single north to south aligned ditch-like feature which may be archaeologically significant {1}. During the gradiometer survey, the surveyors noted the presence of Romano-British pottery in the ploughsoil, scattered across the mid-section of the field. In a preceding fieldwalking survey, two Romano-British pottery sherds were recovered from the near vicinity and, though tenuous, it is possible that the ditch may be of Romano-British date {2} {3}.
