Full Description

PRN 44720 During fieldwalking along the proposed route of the Maltby-le-Marsh to Manby Replacement Water Main (28th February to 31st March 2003), two areas of ridge and furrow were observed in a field immediately north-east of Pyewipe Farm. The first, in the northern corner, was orientated north-east to south-west, with the ridges approximately 6m apart. A second area of slightly wider ridge and furrow, oriented north-west to south-east, occupied the majority of the rest of the field, excluding the north-eastern edge. {1} {2} Medieval ridge and furrow appears to have been ploughed out and is not visible (in 2013) on Google maps. {3}
