Full Description

44612 RAF Ludford Magna was opened in June 1943. Lancasters flew from there until October 1945, and it was FIDO equipped (FIDO was a fog dispersal system). From 1959 to 1963 it was a Thor missile base. It was closed in May 1963. {1}
