Full Description
PRN 36237
Evaluation and excavation work as part of the Fenland Management Project recorded pits and postholes, including alignments, containing late Neolithic pottery and hazelnut shells. Given the site's location within the Hoe Hills barrow cemetery (PRN 32927) and the multi-period use of the settlement site (see PRNs 34376 and 34377), it is possible that some of the round barrows belong to the late Neolithic period.{1}
