Full Description

A late Bronze Age looped and socketed bronze axehead was found in the Potter Hill area of Norton Disney in 1910. It is now in Newark Museum. {1}{2}{3}{4}{5} The axehead is 3.75" long, 1.75" wide at the cutting edge and is 1.25" thick at the haft end. It was found in the south-western corner of the field bounded by the Fosse Way on the north-west and by Folly Lane on the west, in the area of SK 858 604. {6}
