Full Description

A number of probable post-medieval limestone quarries were identified in April 2002, during an excavation at 8 Church Lane, South Witham. The quarries measured between 3m and 10m in diameter. A smaller likely 19th century pit was encountered in the north-east of the site. {1}{2}
