Full Description

PRN 36101 During watching briefs in 2000 and 2001, several undated features were recorded. Several ditches on varying alignments were thought to be boundaries. A group of postholes may represent a timber structure or building. A possible hearth, the sides and base of which showed evidence of burning, may have been domestic, although no artefacts were found associated with it. Alternatively, the hearth was large enough for a number of industrial functions. All of the above features may have been associated with St Michael's Priory (PRN 30617).{1}{2}
