Full Description

Late 17th century shop, with alterations from the mid 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. Constructed of ashlar stone, and features an asbestos slate roof with single yellow brick gable chimney stack. The building is laid to an L-shaped plan, and is of two storeys, with a two-bay front with moulded plinth, and modillion eaves cornice. The central half-glazed door has an overlight, and to right is a two-light shop window with wooden panelled surround. To the left of the doorway is a broad semi-circular arch with key and impost blocks. To the first floor is a glazing bar sash and a fixed glazing bar light with moulded architrave. Evidence of two blocked earlier windows, both with hacked back architraves. To rear is a tall four light ovolo moulded mullioned window and a small Gothick traceried fixed light.
