Full Description

62593 There is a barn on the corner of Harmston Road and Moor Lane. It is red brick with coped gables and a pantile roof, and probably dates from the early nineteenth century. The low barn doors are in the blocking of the larger full height original opening. In the gable end and to either side of the doors are diamond shaped breathers. The ranges attached to the barn form a number of small crewyards and the different sizes of brick and building lines in the walling show the different phases of construction. One of the crewyard ranges has a simple pigeoncote in the gable end located over the pigsties, with covered feed holes for the pigs in the end wall. {1} Manor Farm, Aubourn with Haddington. Partially extant 19th century farmstead. Regular courtyard of E plan. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. There has been a partial loss (less than 50%) of traditional buildings. Located within or in association with a village. Large modern sheds are located to the side of the site. {2}
