Full Description
PRN 44516
During trial trenching in 1998, several features were recorded containing tenth to eleventh century pottery. Some of the features were thought to be natural in origin. Undated features also recorded were thought to be contemporary. An articulated pig skeleton found in a gully may have been deliberately buried. An early to mid-thirteenth century potsherd found in one of the features is presumed to be intrusive - see PRN 44517. {1}
