The Church of St Mary and All Saints was originally the church of the Augustinian Priory at South Kyme, and is now the parish church. Fragments of the priory church remain in the form of the west end of the south aisle and part of the south part of the nave corresponding to it. The church was mostly taken down in 1805 and rebuilt on a smaller scale, and it was restored again in 1888-90. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {1}{2}{3}{4}{5}
The Archaeological Journal of 1886 refers to the original plan of the structure as 'cruciform, and consisted of a deep choir, and transcepts which were aisleless, a central tower and a nave with north and south aisles. {6}
A grave-cover of thirteenth or fourteenth century date is set in the wall amongst the fragments of early medieval sculpture (see 60125). {7}
