Full Description

62464 Brauncewell Lodge is a late seventeenth century farmhouse, which was altered in the early nineteenth century. It has two storeys, and is constructed of coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and has plain tile roofs. To the right there is a lower two storey kitchen wing. It is also known as Lodge Farm. {1}{2} Brauncewell Lodge, Cranwell, Brauncewell and Byard's Leap. Partially extant 19th century farmstead. Regular courtyard with multiple regular yards. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. There has been significant loss (greater than 50%) of traditional buildings. Located within a loose farmstead cluster. Large modern sheds are located to the side of the site. {3}
