Type and Period (2)
Protected Status/Designation

Full Description
PRN 35698
Trial trenching revealed four post holes, possibly a structure, dated from the Late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age period. A pit was also identified, the pit contained abundant quantities of charcoal and fired clay, a piece of which retained impressions of wattle that may have been part of an oven or kiln-like structure. The lack of pottery, animal bone or any other type of domestic evidence suggests that the site was primarily industrial, although what type of industry was undertaken is not clear. {1}{2}
