Full Description

44465 This tower mill was standing by 1816, when it had two pairs of stones and common sails. By 1853 it had gained another pair of stones and patent sails, in which form it worked until the early 1940s. The cap and two remaining sails were taken off and a strange roof put on in 1950, since when the tower has fallen into dereliction. All the machinery remained in 1974 although the floors were becoming dangerous. Some smaller items have since been removed and taken to Horncastle mill. {1} An early 19th century windmill constructed of red brick and some render and has an aluminium roof.
