Full Description

PRN 62339 There is a late seventeenth century barn to the east of Bridge Street. It is of timber framed construction with brick cladding. The street front has a pair of large double plank doors. Internally most of the timber framing survives in the east walls, plus the eastern half of the roof. The location of this building is not entirely certain. This building was put forward for consideration for listing, but it was not actually listed. {1} Pevsner mentions an aisled barn dating to the mid seventeenth century, and adds that it has been destroyed by fire. {2} This building has been largely demolished. {3}
