PRN 62262 The doorway of the west tower is of late 12th century date, with an Early English lancet to the south. The bell-openings and broach spire are also Early English, as is the south aisle doorway, while the three-bay south arcade is Decorated, with seats around the piers. The north windows are Perpendicular in style, as is the vestry. The chancel was built in 1863, and the Angel porch is Victorian. The font is octagonal with an Early English base and stem, while the bowl is 16th century.{1} St Andrew's church is built of coursed limestone rubble and ashlar, with ashlar dressings and slate roofs with ashlar coped gables. The west tower is of three stages, and the south arcade has three bays with bench bases to the piers. The scar of an earlier roof-line can be seen above the tower arch. An aumbry and cupboard can be found in the south aisle, and the blocked former doorway to the rood-stair. The chancel has 19th century encaustic floor tiles.
