62073 A church and priest are mentioned in the Domesday Book as being part of the manor of Walter de Aincurt at Blankney. {1} The present church is largely a rebuilding of 1878-81 of an early nineteenth century rebuild, which in turn incorporated some medieval features (Early English, Decorated and Perpendicular). {2}{3}{4} The church is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and tile and slate roofs.
