A Wesleyan Reform Chapel was built in Metheringham in 1853. {1}
The site was visited in 2009. The chapel survives and is now in use as a house. It closed as a chapel in 1922. A documentary source reveals that 'The Reformers chapel is called the Peoples Hall from its being used for public meetings etc'. It is built of coursed rubble with a hipped roof with slate covering. The broad three-bay front has a central gabled porch and two tiers of replaced sash windows with segmental heads and rubble dressings. A stone tablet inscribed 'People's Hall 1853' is set in the porch gable. The lower bay to the left of the porch has inserted garage doors and a velux window is set in the roof.{2}{3}
