Full Description
PRN 61907
Geophysical survey and trial trenching recovered pieces of iron smithing slag, suggesting the presence of a smithy or farrier's workshop in the immediate vicinity, predating the one north of Royal Oak Lane. The slag was found in ashy layers containing late 17th to late 18th century pottery. See also PRN 61906.{1}{2}{3}
