An evaluation, in the form of trial trenching, was undertaken prior to proposed residential development, in order to assess the significance of any archaeological remains and to inform future planning decisions. Six trenches measuring 10m by 1.6m were placed to investigate anomalies identified by a previous geophysical survey.{1}
